Jane Walton of HatsPeriod is a long time Historical Interpreter working with National Trust; English Heritage; Eventplan; Romanic Novelists Association; Museums and numerous Schools.

Jane Walton She has also done TV and radio work and is a regular contributor to BBC Berkshire She has created Historic Fashion Shows, researching, making the costumes, writing scripts, and presenting the shows. Jane also has researched original handwritten C19th books and cooked at Arlington Court North Devon. Her C19th Ice Cream made at events is legendary amongst performers and site staff a like.

Recently she was requested to portray Queen Victoria at Hughenden Manor, recreating the Royal Visit of 1877, this has lead to others inviting her to their sites.

Jane does not remain in the nineteenth century alone but covers 1066, Tudor, late C17th, eighteenth century plus World War II (advising on C4 1940’s House).
